Card freshness
Turn on Insights (the flame icon in the header) and G Kanban starts tracking how long each card has sat without activity, surfacing it directly on the board.
How freshness is calculated
Section titled “How freshness is calculated”A card’s “age” is the time since it last moved to a new column, or the time since it was last marked active — whichever is more recent. That age is bucketed into three levels: fresh, aging, and stale, based on two thresholds you control in Settings — “Fresh under (days)” and “Stale at (days).”
What you see
Section titled “What you see”Fresh cards are left alone — no extra styling, so the board stays visually calm. Aging and stale cards get a colored wash across the card (green fading toward amber toward red as they age), so problem cards stand out without you having to open each one.
Column headers also show an aging summary — oldest card and average age — when Insights is on.
Resetting the clock
Section titled “Resetting the clock”Open a card and use Mark active in its Freshness section to reset its aging clock, without rewriting its column-move history (which is what cycle-time metrics in the Pro dashboard rely on). Checking off a checklist item also counts as activity and resets the clock automatically.
